Referring to an alternative to conventional jet fuels, sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) is derived from non-petroleum sources. It is utilized in the aviation industry to mitigate carbon emissions. Depending on the production method and feedstock, SAF can be blended with conventional jet fuel in proportions ranging from 10% to 50%.
