Originating from sub-Saharan Africa, this species of coffee plant, scientifically known as Coffea canephora, is a significant contributor to global coffee production, accounting for approximately 30% of it. It is one of the two main varieties of Coffea canephora, the other being nganda. Known for its robustness, it thrives in varied environments and is resistant to diseases.
