Hydroxyapatite

This naturally occurring mineral form of calcium apatite, known as Hydroxyapatite, is primarily composed of Ca₅(PO₄)₃ or Ca₁₀(PO₄)₆(OH)₂. It is the hydroxyl endmember of the complex apatite group. The mineral can present in various colors, including colorless, white, gray, yellow, or yellowish green, and it forms as tabular crystals, stalagmites, nodules, or in crystalline to massive crusts. Notably, Hydroxyapatite compounds make up approximately 65% of bone structure.
