Hojicha

Originating from Japan, this unique variety of green tea is known for its distinctive roasting process. Unlike most Japanese teas which are steamed, it is roasted in a porcelain pot over charcoal at a temperature of 150 °C. This process prevents oxidation and results in a light golden color. Often served as an after-dinner tea, it contains a caffeine content of approximately 7.7 mg.
