Entourage effect

The hypothesis known as the Entourage Effect suggests that the psychoactive effects of cannabis are not solely due to its main component, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), but are modulated by the synergistic action of other compounds present in the plant. This theory posits that the combination of cannabinoids and terpenes, the aromatic compounds in cannabis, can enhance the mood-stabilizing effects typically attributed to THC and CBD, another major cannabinoid.
