eco-anxiety

Chronic fear of environmental doom, often triggered by concerns about ecological disasters and threats to the natural environment such as pollution and climate change, is referred to as eco-anxiety. It can manifest in various ways, ranging from mild stress to severe clinical disorders like depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, and even suicide. Maladaptive coping strategies such as intimate partner violence and substance misuse can also be a result of this fear.
