Bee bread
Often referred to as bee pollen or ambrosia, bee bread is a pellet of field-gathered flower pollen packed by worker honeybees. It serves as the primary food source for the hive. Composed of simple sugars, protein, minerals, vitamins, fatty acids, and a small percentage of other components, it is rich in enzymes, including amylase, invertase, phosphatases, transferases, and glucose oxidase.
